The tool head is universally applicable: It allows the adaptation to all known machine holders, including all quick change systems. By exchanging the holders or the clamping sleeve the machining of different workpieces with one and the same basic holder, i.e. tool head is possible.
The bore in the tool head serves as a clamping sleeve holder for centre drills, step drills, form drills or boring bars. The setting of axial and radial movable holders is simply via a screw.
The standard DIN/ISO insert programme for the holders is specially adapted to the GE 100 user requirements. The indexable inserts are highly precision ground. This enables maximum component precision, repeatability, low cutting forces and therefore also a high process reliability. Ground chip grooves produce controlled short chips that are absolutely essential for precise machining in a multi-insert application. The insert programme consists of various carbide qualities as well as diverse coatings. Therefore, optimal tool life, cutting values and low unit costs can be achieved.
